ILO is a newer model under the NDIS offering more flexible supports and paid arrangements to support a participant on a regular or semi-regular basis.

SIL is for people needing regular support on a daily basis, often throughout the day and evening. 

SDA is housing purpose-built and designed to meet the participant's needs.

Our occupational therapists regular work with participants and their families who live in Housing NSW properties. We can provide recommendations for modifications or relocation, depending on what would best meet the participant's need.

  Home modifications are usually classed as either minor or major.

Minor Home Modifications include grab rail, handrails and threshold ramps. These modifications do not require any structural changes to the house itself.

 Home modifications are usually classed as either minor or major, with any projects requiring structural changes (such as removing shower hobs or widening doorways) classed as major. 

Under the NDIS, these major modifications are ‘complex home modifications’ and require an occupational therapist to work alongside two builders and the client and relevant supports to determine suitable long-term options.

We have several Occupational Therapists who have completed Assistive Technology Australia’s Home Modifications course (units CPPACC5016A and CPPACC4020A) and have experience in successful Complex Home Modification approvals through the NDIS.
